Our Story
Cactus and Koi was born from the experiences of Chef Alejandro, who grew up surrounded by vibrant Mexican home cooking that sparked his lifelong love for bold, meaningful flavor. His path took him from Phoenix to the dynamic culinary world of Los Angeles, where training in celebrated Japanese and fusion kitchens refined his approach to technique, balance, and artistry.
